So what is Avid ScriptSync® ?
ScriptSync is a free tool inside every Avid Media Composer released within the last few years. Producers and Directors love it because it shaves weeks off of the edit. Yes, weeks!
The software reads your script and associates the text phonetically to all the spoken dialog on your footage. Your project's editor will be able to see your script right inside the AVID editing system, click on any line of text in the script and instantly see the corresponding video.
Incorporating ScriptSync into the edit process on features and short films:
- Increases efficiency dramatically,
- Allows editor to work more trusted in unsupervised situations
- Increases the editor's awareness of quality takes within a scene,
- Decreases miscommunications between producer, editor and assistant,
- Decreases the chance of losing shots due to general post-production chaos,
- Increases the organization of the project,
