Great filmmaking begins with great storytelling.

From box office features to independent short films, the goal is the same: to make the most amount of money with the least amount of time and effort. But when the house lights come up and the audience chatter begins, what will they be saying?

The two most important efforts in the filmmaking process are the creation of the script and the editing of the story. Every other task while extremely important is merely a financial, technical or artistic implementation of these two. The proof of this is in the audience member standing in the ticket line wondering "Is it any good?"

Does your story have what it takes to jump off the paper and into the filmmaking process? Would an audience pay to watch the it a second time?

Let a professional, award-winning editor help you complete your film. Whether through editing, story editing, or simple consulting, my experience will help you tell a better story.

About:

Chris Bové is an expert editor of fourteen dynamic, uninterrupted years.

He edits award-winning independent films for the festival circuit and has worked on many projects as a Story Editor, a Script Editor, an editorial consultant and a technical advisor. Also a staff editor at one of PBS's best stations, he helps create powerful, cinematic programs
that are seen by millions of eyes throughout the US and into Canada.

He has brought his producers tremendous R.O.I. and full-funding opportunities for future productions. Success has been evident in the independent world by several coveted “audience favorite” awards; and in the PBS world by having edited his station's highest rated, grossing, and acclaimed original programs to date.

"Audiences demand to get caught-up in a great story, and it is my job to insure they do so without confusion. They can suspend a great deal of disbelief if they are prevented from having to trudge through a muddy story.

The original vision a filmmaker has is delicate and needs to be respected. That is why I work with you to develop and nurture great story content."
